About the Author!

Priscilla Mitchell retired in 1997 after working nineteen years with autistic students in special education. Throughout her life she has appreciated the creation. So now she finds fulfillment in writing, singing, or speaking about the Creator.

Priscilla and her husband, Richard, live in the Chicago area. They have four children and ten grandchildren.
 

It all began in July of 1987 as Priscilla carefully examined the columbine in her garden. So beautifully complex, the flower led her to ponder and ask, "How do all those little parts know where to go?" Surely God had programmed the whole process!" She then went to her favorite quiet place and began to put her inspirations on paper. The first two lines rhymed - and thus began her book about seeds.

Since children are impressed with computers, she thought they ought to realize that God had designed His computers long ago. Priscilla said that when she thinks of God's life-seeds, from which all forms of life come, she is in awe: "They are designed miracles, amazing creations!"

Today's computer- smart kids can understand the concept of programming. Seeds show God's handiwork in planning and programming the complexities of various species such as the dolphin, pine tree, hummingbird, sea horse, seeds in general, the honey bee, monkey, and finally "Marvelous Me."

This prime poem not only follows a baby's development from conception to birth, but leads to God's vital message of love and His plan for "Me" in providing the Savior, His word, and the Spirit.
